The short version
acneonforehead.com counts visits without cookies, keeps tool answers in your browser and sells nothing. In the EU it only counts you after you say yes.
Who is in charge
This site runs on its own and decides what it measures, which makes it the party responsible for that data. Email privacy@acneonforehead.com about anything on this page.
What is recorded
- Visit statistics: which pages you view, the page that sent you, reading time and depth, the links and buttons you use, and device facts such as screen size, browser language and time zone.
- The bump sorter: it runs entirely in your browser. Your answers stay there, apart from the result name added to the link of the button under the result if you press it.
- Server logs kept by the host: IP address, browser type and the addresses requested, for security and upkeep.
How counting works
Statistics travel from your browser to /api/skim on this site. That address forwards them to an analytics provider (EU), which stores them on servers in the European Union. Your IP address is forwarded too, so a rough location such as the country can be derived. A random code in session storage groups the pages of one visit and is deleted when you close the tab, so separate visits can't be linked. EU visitors are counted only after choosing "Yes, count it".
Buttons that lead to acne.today
Buttons like "Start my forehead check" go through acneonforehead.com/brow-check to acne.today, a separate service that charges for its report. The link tells acne.today which site and which button you used. What you give acne.today is covered by its own privacy policy.
Why the site may use data
- Statistics on EU visitors: your consent. Withdraw it any time with "Statistics choice" in the home page footer.
- Statistics on everyone else, and server logs: a legitimate interest in keeping the site safe and working.
- Your emails: to answer them.
Kept in your browser

- Your statistics choice. Local storage, never sent. Stays until you clear it.
- foShut
- Notes that you closed the bottom bar. Session storage, gone when the tab closes.
- foId, foSn, foPg, foZn
- Random visit code, start time, page count and campaign zone for statistics. Session storage, not cookies, gone when the tab closes.
Retention
Server logs are deleted within 90 days. Emails are kept only while needed to help you, two years at most.
Recipients
The analytics provider and the host, each limited to what its task needs. No data is sold.
Your rights
Ask to see, correct, erase or get a copy of your data, to limit its use, or object to it, by writing to privacy@acneonforehead.com. You will hear back within four weeks. You can also complain to your national data protection authority.
